I've stayed in the Luxor, Bellagio, and Caesar's Palace, and for me Caesar's takes the cake every time. It's just the ultimate, overdone, decadent Vegas experience. To me, having a whirlpool bathtub, dual vanity sinks, a glass-encased waterfall shower, a private toilet with a phone in a spotlessly maintained bathroom that's almost the size of my hotel room is just unbeatable. :) And that was in a fairly standard room....I love the casino, and the mall attached to the hotel, and the incredibly tacky but cool Roman sculptures everywhere. :)

The Flamingo hotel. This is the best hotel by far because the location is amazing. Its very central along the strip just opposite Ceasars Palace, the prices are very good for where you are staying, the pool was voted number two out of all the Vgeas casinos, the odds are good in the Flamingo casino. The only bad thing i can see with this hotel is that it doesnt really present you with many shops but hey all that is needed is a 5-10min walk and your in business. The hotel rooms are very clean and big with great views, they always get cleaned every day and have air con and the customer service is excellent. I am going back to this hotel for a third time next year and i wouldnt replace this hotel with any other. You can also check out this website www.tripadvisor.com and you can get people's reviews on this hotel. Good luck and i hope this helps.

Personally, I love the Aladdin. When I checked in and the room that I requested was sold out, they upgraded me to a suite. It was beautiful. Everyone there was really nice. New York New York also has nice rooms and a very acommodating staff. They have some good restaurants in the casino, as well as snack foods like pizza, burgers, ice cream, etc. The casino is fun too. I also like Harrah's, the Mirage, Mandalay Bay, and MGM. My downtown choice is The Golden Nugget.

Even though Circus Circus is great for the kids, we're not too fond of the hotel itself. The rooms are low budget, old, and not nice at all. And they probably have the absolute WORST buffet I've ever been to in Las Vegas. Stay somewhere else, but take the kids there for the day for a little fun.

Aloha from Down Unda!
We've stayed at the Stratosphere, the Tropicanna & Caesar's Palace. In the 'day', back when it opened, the Stratosphere was fabulous but the subsequent change in management & staff reduced it's appeal drastically! The Tropicanna was great for location & VALUE but nothing more than a minimum standard of generic acceptability. Certainly Caesar's IS fabulous BUT, we found a few staff very 'cold' & 'straining'. The disasterous failure of the toilets to function without 'priming' with a wastecan full of water from the tap of the adjacent spa, proved that even luxury was susceptable to the laws of plumbing.
The very best VALUE we've found so far is not a hotel at all! Vacation Rentals by Owner (VRBO) has saved us THREE (3) grand (thOU$and) for a month$ $tay, so that's the BE$T hotel in Vega$!
Merry Christmas!

The Monte Carlo is my favorite so far. All of the employees are so very nice. They really want you to have a great time. The cocktail waitresses and dealers were the best ever. The pool is nice, the rooms are clean and neat. The casino is well lit and not too smoky. The restaurants are great. It's in the middle of the strip, and the rates are reasonable.

Avoid the Wynn... it is a rip-off with poor service and they charge you for every item you even touch in the mini-bar using this screwy auto-charging mechanism based on the weights of things in the bar. So, unless you're Indiana Jones slipping a bag of sand in place of the Pringles can, you will be paying for it even if you were only reading the label.

My pick is the Bellagio -- unbelievable ceilings in the lobby made out of glass, spectacular.

I would have too say Circus Circus! I like it because it is a very family oriented hotel, there is a lot of thing for kids too there, it's very very cheap.

The Bellagio's the fanciest, and one of the newest, but I like most of them on the strip. I think most of them are 4-5 stars.

Excalibur! Admittedly the rooms are sparce...even a bit sh*tty. But it's cheap, centrally located, and you can spend you money on other things!
