I have upgraded from XP Home to Pro. I have a 300GB data drive, not the drive I installed on. After the upgrade, when i try to get to the drive, it asks me if I want to format it. I say no. When I look in disk management, it tells me there is 128GB free, and there is no File System (NFTS/FAT32) listed. I have "formatted" the partition already (so I may have already screwed myself), but I cannot get to the data I had on there. This is a real problem. Is there some way to get to that data? Thanks.

Probably u have the remaining space with RAW or FAT format, which can't shown by the XP OS. I think somehow u had changed the partition when go for OS loading. If u do so unfortunately urs data will be lost, but u can get the free space doing format in NTFS/FAT32 which is supported format for ur's loaded OS.

you'll probable both may favor to format the rigidity that you would also lose each and each and every situation on it or you'll probable favor to make a slip streamed version of xp specialist with service %. 3 already put in into it then burn it to a sparkling bootable cd then run setup decrease decrease back.
