I think it's fine, so long as they're appropriate to the situation - if you're a nurse or doctor wearing clogs, that's totally fine. If you're out on a day off, getting a cup of coffee and relaxing, that's fine. If you're pairing them with a suit or going to work at a business situation with them on, that's not okay.
