No. They are not gay. Pete dispelled the rumors in an interview. And I LOVE their music too!!!

My fav- song from them is Thnks Fr Th Mmrs, then I started listing and then they say, Thnks for the Mmrs , if he, taste like you but sweeter. and even through they weren't so great, he, taste like you but, sweeter. It tick me off that my fav song was a gay song. But instead of not lesson to it. I just change the he to she.
