Take a sample of your grass to the county Cooperative Extension Service; someone there will be able to identify it. [Call first, to make sure that certain someone will be in the office when you arrive.]

Contact your county agricultural agent. They know all about the grasses in your area.

Pull a little of it up and take it to any nursery or plant vendor.
They will be able to identify it.

Check this site out: http://www.ipm.ucdavis.edu/TOOLS/TURF/TURFSPECIES/
I used this to study and it helped me pass my turf test at TAFE.
