Give your homework a certain amount of time, set the timer when you begin. Push your self, trying to stay focused. An do your best to concentrate. When your time limit is over quit, and critique what you have accomplished. If you didn't do well, don't spend more time, just quit and try to do better tomorrow.

hope these work for you:
1. if you don't get something, ask
2. set a time limit for yourself to do an assignment
3. don't do an assignment at the last minute
4. if the assignment is really just busy work, copy from someone else
5. listen to music (it helps your brain think, but turn it off if it gets distracting)
6. get rid of all distractions except music

speed isn't the point, accuracy and retention of the knowledge are. have you eliminated your distractions? tv, radio, little brother?
