I really can identify with the lyrics of that song. A bit disheartening that he's expressing a universal feeling of helplessness, though. Shouldn't we just do something if we don't like the world? If enough people get together, they can accomplish anything.

Yes I can relate to that song too. But there's no stopping us from trying to change the world even if we feel it's futile, because miracles happen.

I don't think it's fair for a person to expect the world to change if that person is not willing to change themselves first. Others react to the energy we put out there: negativity, anger, happiness, or optimism.
