Everything else that has audio plays the audio except DVDs. Ive tried playing them in Windows Media Player and Windows Media Center, i also made sure the mute was not on on both of them. I also checked the audio settings and made sure everything was turned all the way up. Any advice?

Install an MPEG 2 codec. This is the file you need for Windows Media Player to know how to interpret the files on the DVD.
Download a free MPEG 2 codec. The solution is to download the free 30 day trial version of Cyberlink PowerDVD.

Run the Power DVD installation software.
Use Power DVD during the free 30 day trial to play your DVDs.
If you uninstall Power DVD at the end of the trial, it will leave the MPEG 2 codec on your PC, and you will still be able to play DVDs on your PC.

this sounds like a problem with your DVD driver. go to the website of the manufacturer of the DVD drive and download their latest drivers specifically for your device
