They're probably scared that they would screw up their draft position. Kitna will ensure that doesn't happen because he throws the ball to the other team alot.

The Lions have many problems, not all of them having to do with John Kitna. He's actually a pretty good QB. Josh McCown proved in Arizona that he is not a starter.

How about improving your offensive line. That would be a start to give your QB time to throw the ball and improve your running game. There's a good place to start.

Josh McCown is such a poor excuse for an NFL QB that Kitna would have to be struck by lightning for McCown to get in the game.

IMHO, Kina isn't the problem (in fact, he's been pretty decent.) Just today, the Lions had -3 yards rushing against the Vikings. Minus 3. What a QB is supposed to do with that lack of a running game to support them is beyond me. Kitna may have 16 INTs to 13 TDs (not counting today), but he's also third in the league with 3190 yards passing. His QB rating isn't that bad either: 78.3 for the year.

First thing the Lions have to do: get rid of Matt Millen. Then they need to work on their O-line and pass rush. They have some very talented players. They just have to put the pieces together.

The Lions problems start at the top with the owners and Matt Millen.

Kitna really isnt all that bad. He is ranked 3rd in the NFL in passing yards. He just doesnt have a very good o line and they sometimes have problems running the ball.

He's been around long enough to see he's not starter material.

A great guy, I watched him at SHSU, but not starter material, at least not yet.
