The package is rather large 2ft x 1ft x 1ft ?? but light (blanket). It's a shipment to a repair center. which is cheaper? UPS ground or USPS parcel post? Any idea? I don't feel like going to two places to get quotes.

I will go by USPS. I have sent a box 2Ft X 2 Ft X 2Ft from California to NJ for abt 43$ with insurance coverage for 150$ abt 1 yr back. If you use their box packages it is much cheaper.

Ususally, UPS ground is VERY cheap, usually cheaper than usps, and it comes with a tracking number and an automatic 100 dollars insurance.

I would have to say UPS, because your first $100 insurance is included in the shipping charge. Not so with USPS. Also to track your package just go to UPS.com and enter your tracking # and you can find out when the item was delivered and who signed for it.

I would say probably USPS. And I would advise never to use UPS! I work in a hotel and we get stuff delivered by UPS all the time, and the boxes are always bashed up and one time one even had a huge hole punched thru the top! Couldn't believe they had the balls to deliver it that way!
