What is the best way to motivate & inspire a sluggish culture?

Some kind of media? Music? Art? Disaster? Heroism? Education? Religion? Miracles? Time? Tickets to your favorite event? All of the above? All of the above all at the same time? None of the above?

Seems like something that would be good to know for a lot of people.

The best way to motivate people to get up and do things is by having them do things. The more active a person is, the more energetic they become. They a need a leader with a clear vision and realistic goals to encourage them to action. They need to believe that they can make a difference. Every human being has great potential, but they need to be told that. Once they start doing things, they will enjoy it so much that they won't want to stop.

Move all fast food places at least four miles out of city limits. Make them accessible by foot path only.

That'll weed out the slugs. We'll find 'em passed out halfway to McDonald's.

cut down on resources available to the culture. People only work as much as they need to. (general statement- not true in every case, but in most)

listen buddy if ur trying to become the head of some AID/HELP organization like red cross...then ur in the wrong place. my thoughts though if u had to ask would be pain or passion. not pleasure.

Depends on the culture. What do they value? What do they reward? What obstacles have there been, and what remain (e.g. geography, corruption, colonialism, slavery)? What do they fear?
