Some important points:

These have been said many times but they are worth repeating: - Be neatly and approprialy dressed, strde purposely into the room, make good eye contact, smile. Shake hands firmly but comforably. Listen carefully to the questions, pause for two beats, anwser each question concisely but thouroughly.
-Familiarize yourself well with the necessary qualifications for that position. During the interview, weave in the ways that you are well prepared to meet the qualifications and responsibilities by experience, education, jobs you have held in the real world, skills you have acquired in volunteer work, and be able to give examples of each.
- Have at least two questions prepared to ask, in case nothing comes to mind during the interview. The questions should center around what you can do for the school, not around benefits, holidays and the like.

- Be prepared to answer why you think you would be the best candidate for the position.

- By the end of the interview, if you are really intested in the job, say so. Show enthusiasm.

- Take your cues from the interviewer(s) and as the interview is winding up, help to bring closure to it.

- After you have left, get into your car, drive a few blocks, park your car and write a note to thank the person(s) for the opportunity to meet with them, briefly summarize the highlights of the interview, and restate why you would like the position. Say that you look forward to hearing from them within the following week (or so.)

Good luck!

First of all, try and remember the last book you read, cause they'll always ask about that. Try not to say "like" too much, and dress kind of nicely. Try and think of what they might ask. Think of what your favorite/best subjects are before hand, and why. And do the same about your least favorite ones. When you get there, just smile and be friendly. That's what I did for my school interviews when I was trying to get into different high schools, and it worked for me... good luck!

Walk in with confidence, hold your head up, don't fidget. Tell yourself that you are the single greatest teacher on earth and that you are interviewing THEM. As if they are asking you questions because they need you to explain something to them. Don't be condescending but don't let them see you sweat. They will inevitably ask how you would handle classroom difficulties or confrontation. Tell them that you would remain calm and thereby be a calming influence on the situation, that you can think quickly on your feet and that you would assess the situation and react accordingly. Make them think you said something astoundingly profound but don't say anything inparticular. You know, like Ari Fleischer. (hope I spelled his name right

I would dress up. If I had long hair like it looks like you do, I would make an attempt in combing it. Tuck your shirt in. Have in mind what they may ask you. Remember to look at the person when they ask you questions. Give beauty queen answers. Makes you look like an amazing person.
