There can be many reasons for arm and hand tingling. Do you have any other symptoms such as shortness of breath, pressure in the middle of your chest, light-headedness, back pain, nausea, sweating with the tingling Females don't always have those symptoms when they're having a heart attack, but those are common symptoms? It's impossible to diagnose you without examination and tests. No one can do that here.

Other reasons for tingling of your arm and pinkie could be a pinched nerve or overuse. Are you carrying your baby with your left arm? Do you sleep with the baby in your bed, perhaps laying on your side on your arm? Are you left-handed? Have you been carrying heavy books in that arm, doing a lot of writing with that hand? Have you been overworking your left arm, wrist, hand? You could also have thoracic outlet syndrome, which would affect the circulation to your arm and hand and cause discomfort and tingling. Are you on birth control pills? There's a remote possibility you could have a clot somewhere along your arm. Someone suggested you take aspirin. It's not a good idea to do that without checking with your doctor, to make sure it's not contraindicated in your case.

You're experiencing a lot of stress, and probably not getting enough sleep because of your busy schedule. That can add to the urgency and worry you feel about your symptoms. The best thing for you to do is go see your doctor tomorrow. Explain your symptoms and he/she will be able to do a few quick tests to rule out certain conditions. You're very young, and while a heart attack isn't impossible, it's very rare at your age. Good luck!

well, if it was a heart attack you would feel extreme tightness in your chest. what you are describing is a stroke, and yes it could be possible. it only takes a second for something to go wrong and it to become deadly. your baby needs a healthy mother! anything could ahve caused a blood clot that could break away and enter the heart or lungs, therefore causing a stroke. Within minutes, even minutes from now you could suddenly drop to the floor....or there could be nothing wrong with you other than tendenitis or something like that. There are many symptoms to a stroke, including numbness and tingling in one side of the body. Get up now and go to the emergency room for your baby. If nothing more, you can take the time to sit back and relax while waiting, and you will feel much better when you leave hearing it was nothing. They get paid to check out and reassure young ladies like you and me, and they enjoy doing it, too!

You sound very stressed out,, you are also describing some symptoms of panic disorder, try not to worry too much don't forget you have a beautiful child that needs you and you need to keep yourself healthy both physically and mentally. If you don't want to go to the hospital your local GP should be able to give you a ECG which will show any abnormalities in your heart beat if he or she is then worried they will send you for further investigations.
You sound a sensible person just take time to enjoy your baby not to worry about what others think because of your age.

When totally stressed just take a look at that beautiful bundle and take the time to enjoy, but when all is said if you are still in pain or worried get it checked out and no it is not silly just sensible thinking.
Take care of you and bub

There is no way anyone on this site can help you except to tell you to see a doctor if you think it is serious enough to be a heart attack.
Stress can very well bring on a heart attack.
You also sound like you could be having panic attacks with so much responsibilty on your shoulders.
It could also be a pinched nerve in your neck that could cause the arm and tingling in the pinky. I just had surgery for that which was a pinched nerve in my elbow(the funny bone area) and had tingling and numbness in my pinky and ring finger.
Good luck and God Bless You.

Please go to the hospital right away!!!! You do not need to get into a serious health problem with a child so young. Your left arm is tingling and that is one of the signs of a heart attack. Heart attacks can occur to anyone, even to someone at the age 20. It is rare but you can never say never. Get help NOW before it's too late!

i know that stress is a big cause of problems in people. i as welll experienced this too because of stress. make an appointment with a doctor and get a stress test to see if it is positive or not. you never know if there is a blockage or what. but stress will mimic symptoms of a heart attack. stress can kill you as well. you need some time to relax and maybe just be able to enjoy a day to be lazy.

I'm going to tell you to go to a Dr. if you are concerned enough to post this question, and then I'm going to say that if you take to heart 3/4 of this stuff written on this page you'd be dead in less than 30 seconds, if it is something serious.

I really don't know how long it would take to become deadly, but I can suggest somethings to do to try to help you, like Drinking lemon water. You said you were stressed and lemon water helps. I really dont know why, it just dose. Another thing start taking a baby aspirin every day. It helps thin the blood. Try those things.

60 seconds before brain damage. rescue breathing and CRP will keep the brain somewhat functional. see your doctor for a remote heart monitor but this is really expensive. if heart attack in action, then take a muscle relaxer: motrin, advil. other ones dont work so well like tylenol. you can get an AED and carry with you. a 6 year old child can use it. but it costs $1000
