I am trying to find online scholarly papers of economic theories on poverty, consumer spending, or anything else I can get. Please help me. I am willing to sign up for websites, but I am not willing to pay for a subscription. Please try and help me.

To get a feel for what is being done and new papers published read Economic blogs. They are mostly run by economics professors and have some very knowledgeable comments. When available they reference free versions of papers. For a list of blogs see

You should check JSTOR. You have to have a subscription, but your local college or library should/may have one.
