There is this girl called Alyssa at my school and she used to be my friend. But you know what she did? She told everyone at my school by email and AIM, that I slept with two different guys on Friday, and she said she is telling even more people tomorrow at school. I did NOT sleep with two guys last night and I'm not letting that ***** who said she was my friend, ruin the rest of my high school life. The only reason she is doing this is because she KNOWS that Mark who is on the football team wants to go out with me, and we are going to the Holiday dance next week at school.
I need a good rumor. Something that people will actually believe. Something that not only all the grades 10's will know, but the entire high school. Give my ideas on how to get back at that girl, because I will not let her ruin my life and my reputation. I'm a cheerleader, and I don't want to be labeled the "slutty cheerleader". So give me ideas, and GOOD ideas that will ruin that b!tches ******* life FOREVER.

Hahaha. You high school kids crack me up. I bet you slept with them, you just don't want people to know. Trust me, when I was a cheerleader (for 8 years competitive), everyone slept with someone. Just say she's pregnant, it's the fastest thing to get around, and most people are gullible enough to believe it!

If you don't want the "no bully" advice, then you must know that what you are doing is wrong. I have a great idea for you. Get her a Christmas present.
You're thinking, WHAT? But if you kill her with kindness and use reverse psyhcology you will win in the long run. Just continuing to go back and forth will make your life worse. Think about it. It'll be an endless war and she will get mad and KEEP spreading rumors about you. And everyone is going to believe them, why wouldn't they, it's HS.
This girl at my job, well, she spread rumors about me to my future boyfriend and his brother! That I was loose with guys (I was a virgin at the time). Well, instead of stooping to her level, I told my boyfriend to talk to her and tell her that what she did was not cool. And she actually came over to me and apologized! There is always a reason girls act like that. I was the new girl and she was jealous. Your ex friend is probably jealous (she likes Mark too, duh) or misses being your friend and wants to get your attention. You're obviously stressed out right now, and that's not fair to you especially since it's Christmas. When I was in HS, we used the term, "let's just squash it" all the time when drama happened. Go to your friend, tell her that what she did was not cool and ask her to stop telling people lies. Tell her your friendship means something and if she's sorry, then END IT! If she's not, then say, ok, when you're ready to be my friend again, I'm here.
Ask her if she has a date yet for the dance, and if not, hook her up with someone and all go together! You're a cheerleader right, you know people! HS is supposed to be fun, make it that way. When you're old like me (30) you're going to want to look back at it and say Damn, I had fun, not damn, I had drama! Don't be stubborn and listen to someone who knows. And have fun at your dance!

You sound like a real piece of work to me.
If she is already known to make up junk about people, then you're going to come across as much more sympathetic if you just let her bury herself.
If she isn't already known as a backstabber and a liar, then your attempts to retaliate will tend to make people believe she is telling the truth and the lie will be harder to shake.
If you can get a hold of a print-out of the e-mail she has been sending, then you could talk to the principal or a counsellor about it and get her in trouble with those who can make a difference.
Getting her suspended or worse would be the best revenge, and totally legal.

*You can lie and say that she is just spreading the rumers because in reality she tried to sleep with you but you said no because you like boys and not girls, and now she is just getting even because she wants you for herself.
*You can say that she has a nasty habbit of picking her nose and eating her boogers, and has been doing it since 4th grade but can't stop cause she thinks they taste sweet.
*You can say that when she slept over your house last weekend that she still sucks her tumb, that you saw her, and get your brother to be a witness to it.
*You can say that you once caught her trying to peak at you and other girls in the washroom under the stalls.
Oh God I can go on forever with this!

you need to pick something that will be hard for her to disprove. You could always go for the lesbian thing. Say that she hit on you and you declined so shes spreading rumors about you because you said no to her proposal. Something like that.

damn right! im in high school and 'growing up' just doesnt make everything better but come on! if u spread that rumour then its obvous that u did it. high school life isnt like in some cinderella story that in the end everything is fixed and everyone loves each other. think about it do u really want to start some war with this former friend? i dunno talk to her but if she just snubs u and **** then just i dunno, say shes slept with like 5 guys before. go up to her and say

You are angry person. You do not need to grow up. You need to learn how to relax and let things go. The best way to get back at her is to act like it does not bother you. Acting all flustered and vindictive makes it look like YOU DO have something to hide. Just blow her off and this will all be a memory that no one will remember
