OF COURSE! I was born there, but I came to the US 5 years ago (damn it, I hate it here).

But you gotta be careful, last time I was there, there were no traffic lights, and you're allowed to drive no matter how old you are, and you can drink alcohol even if you're 5. They don't say anything....but that's why it's awesome. I miss Albania, I want to go back!!!

?I was on maneuvers ( military) in Albania in 1996 for one month. I would almost bet that I was in places in the back country that no other American has been or seen. Albania is a third world country. It is not a place for a vacation . I had to take certain medicines every day as a precaution against ingesting contaminated food products. I was in and around the capital city ( Tirana? ) and i was amazed and Horrified to see the amount of widespread economic degradation and unsanitary conditions. One evening I had stop to eat at a somewhat civil looking restaurant ( I did take my pills that morning) and after I ate some less that appealing stew i asked to use the bathroom and I was directed to a wooded area outside the restaurant and once I got to the " spot" , the area was littered with spent toilet paper. That sums up Albania and if that type of custom floats your boat .. have fun .

Yes, I would love to visit Albania.

I'm an Army veteran, and because of the Army, I travelled all over the World, which I loved doing.

I've never been to Albania, so I would like to see it just because it's something different, a land and people I've not yet seen.

Yes, I know some cool Albanians and I could visit them. I would have done that by now but I need a visa and it's complicated. They're really nice people. Every country has its charm and things are changing fast in Eastern Europe so some story 10 years ago is history by now! :) I'm not easy to scare!

I've already been there. I like it there, but it's difficult to get around without a car. I visited Tirana and stayed in Kukes with my husband's family.

I think I'd like to see it because the people would likely be quite genuine due to their past isolation. Must be interesting to hear their views on all sorts of things...
On the other hand, I believe I would **** my pants most of the time, it's supposedly not one of the most trustworthy places to be hopping about smiling.
