I don't know what you are studying. My students must know the first 50 elements and symbols. They use flash cards.

You may need to look at each block of the table separately and study the characteristics of elements in those blocks.

First you try to understand periodic properties like atomic weight, at number, etall with their definitions understand the concepts after that you start reading what is a group and a period number of groups and all the stuff. Once you become thorough with this start learning about electroni configuration. There after extend it to how it varies in a group and a period usually group and period will have quite opposite properties. Decreas moving down may increase moving from left to right like that. That's it now you can teach others about periodic table.

Good Luck

Depends what you need to know exactly. I used notecards to remember the symbols and that seemed to work well. The atomic weights are harder.

periodic table is best studied when divided into groups..
so,
just make up a code word for it..for 1A group, HLiNa K RbCsFr(make up something for this) why dont u try matching names??may be ur friends names or something??first part can be HeLeNa!!(H-hydrogen,L-lithium,N-sodium)

like tht do all groups..

i think u hav already tried this but i dont think their is any other way of getting it clear and better..
