Yes, Subtlety is overrated. Given the average intelligence and attention span of most people, and their self-centered "me-me-me" lifestyle - subtlety is in most cases useless.

If you want someone's attention hit-em hard!

I'm not sure. This is a great question.

I think it depends on the scenario (surprise, surprise). It can be annoying, but I'm kind of an "in your face" person.

I think I just need to appreciate subtlety more.

It can be. If I'm subtle my boyfriend doesn't know what the hell I'm talking about, I gotta come right out and say it; it's made for a much more honest relationship. So yeah, it can be.
