I've learnt alot from that book starting from how negativity can spoil us, to how worse human mind can ruin ones life. Staying purely present, staying absolute conscious in improving life sitations were explaing clearly.
1. You are not your thoughts. You are the awareness behind the thoughts. Thoughts are often negative and painful, yearning for or fearing something in the future, complaining about something in the present or fearing a matter from the past. However, the thoughts are not you; they are a construct of the ego. Awareness of your thoughts without being caught up in them is the first step to freedom.

2. Only the present moment exists. That is where life is (indeed it is the only place life can truly be found). Becoming aware of the 'now' has the added benefit that it will draw your attention away from your (negative) thoughts.

HAVE ANYONE TRIED THIS? ANY IMPROVEMENTS IN YOUR LIFE?

Sounds like a great book! After reading this and the other comments, I've been inspired to read it. This book sounds a little like the works of Pema Chodron, whose works you might also enjoy. Have a great night.

I have read it. It is on my bookshelf. Being present is something I often practice after having read it and it really helps me. I am a type of person who rushes and gets scatter-brained because of it. I am also very sensitive to some things, for instance constant commotion from, say, a family gathering and I can get headaches easily. So, amazingly, being present and practicing it even in the smallest of tasks is a very relaxing and rewarding experience for me. It slows my breathing and gives a grace to everyday tasks.
