Congrats!! for losing 20lbs. Thats good. You are on the right track but there are things that can throw you off. But what I suggest that you do is for you to focus on you and only you. Dont listen to what others say, or if someone tells you that you are fat and you will never lose weight. Dont even think about death. Think about yourself and being happy and believe that you are beautiful no matter what happens. Know that you love yourself and believe that you can acheive your goal of losing weight and decide for yourself that this is something that you want to do for yourself and not becasue someone else is telling you too or that someone is telling you that you will die if you dont. Believe in you and trust and listen to your body. If you feel that you are too stressed about the whole situation just slow down and take your time. When the time is right the weight will melt off, and when you are comfortable with you body and the things you can and cannot change you will feel so much better and have to motivation that you need to get going.
Good luck

How about getting your friends and family to help keep you motivated? You might want to join some kind of a weight loss group and then you could pair up with someone or a few people. It helps a lot if you have someone that you are accountable too - you can talk to this person every week at a set time and say, OK, how did you do this week? Did you eat better? Did you excercise?

Oh yeah... and another thing you can do; remind yourself every day. Put a picture on the fridge of what you are scared might happen to you someday if you remain unhealthy and a picture of what you are aiming for.

Take it from someone who knows first hand. Only you can decide when you have had enough. The fear of what obesity does to us sometimes is just not enough. Just keep it in your thoughts until you are actually ready to deal with it for real. Arm yourself with a fail proof plan. I mean decide what you will and will not eat. Create an exercise plan. Consult a proffessional. There are so many books and diet plans out there it makes it harder to decide which one is the right one for you. Usually the best kind is the kind that includes all food groups (doesn't exclude any group) and give you tips to sticking with it when you are feeling weak or when unforseen things come up. Plan, plan, plan. Good Luck!
