Mom, she always explained why something...just was, why what I did was wrong, always had advice for any scenario. She always gave her last, even if my wants were unnecessary, always sacrificed to get me something, always busted her butt to make ends meet, was a shoulder to cry on,a counselor when i needed counseling, a motivator when I needed motivation, a doctor when I was sick, a defender when I needed protection, etc.
My dad was a good disciplinarian, that's about it.
ALL PRAISES TO MOMMA!!!!!

My mom. Dad just wouldn't listen or get it.
He would just reply to my questions with sarcastic barbs
My mother would always explain things in grand detail.
She taught me well.

Mom, my Dad's work schedule made it difficult to talk to him a lot. Swing shift sucks.

Depends on what I needed. But honestly, I didn't go to either one of them very much for help as a child. When I had problems I was much more likely to seek counsel from teachers and friends.
