countries with high taxes usually have free healthcare, free schooling, many free aid programs. im talking about countries with like 40-60% tax rates......i believe thailand has one of the highest
high tax rates means u earn say... 100,000k every year. then u would pay 60,000k for a 60% tax rate

You'll find high taxes in the developed nations. High taxes = high standards of living and vice versa. Scandanavian countries have a history of very high taxes (>50%). Usually these countries offer many more social services to their citizens than low- or no-tax countries, and therefore their citizens are better educated and live longer.

I'm from Sweden. They have the highest tax rate in the world. Personal income tax is around 60%, along with other indirect taxes. The UK and the US don't even compare to Sweden.

every developed country is high taxed. american people think england is a high tax country
income tax is 20%
value added tax is 17% (sales tax)
social security tax 13%
council tax
Road tax, this is taxes you can see
other counties have a lot of hiden taxes so the people dont actualy know how much taxes they are paying.
for a project ask your parents how much tax do they pay over a year, and get them to include everything, include tax on phone bill and utilites bills, property, council, food bill.. everything they buy is taxed
