I found the easiest way when starting out was to use the ring or middle finger of my right hand to hold the bottom lid open and the index finger of middle finger of your right hand to hold the top lid open. Your eye will still have the natural instinct to blink so it will still take some practice. Place the contact on either your middle finger(if not used) or the index finger of your right had and slowly bring it towards your eye. You will likely have to actually press on your eye to get the air out from underneath the contact, otherwise it will just fall out when your finger pulls away.
I also found it helpful to look away from the contact when I put it in. Then, before closing that eye, slide the contact into position with my finger. This way I don't put it on the most sensitive part of my eye initially.
The same goes for taking it out. I slide it off the center of my eye and then it comes off much easier than if I try to take it off the center.
In the end, you will have to find the method best for you, but give these methods a try. I think they will help.

merely make confident the touch is moist adequate and then somewhat carry your eye lid open and seek for such as you're rolling your eyes. placed it on the attention and then close your eyes for a 2d then blink a pair circumstances and it will flow into place. your touch won't be able to wander off on your eye so there's no concerns no remember if it is not interior the ideal suited place. once you blink it gets there. you will no longer flutter as plenty in case you do no longer see it coming...why you're looking up. I even have been wearing contacts a protracted time and the 1st time i even with the undeniable fact that no way...and now that's no vast deal. take care! SD

When I first starting wearing contacts years ago, the eye tech told me to get the contact close and look to the side and then place contact in the eye. Hopefully my looking to the side, you were not flinch so much. It really works well for me. I do it still to this day and I have been wearing contact for about 8 years.

i know that happens ALOT. the first time i try to put my contact lense, i eyes just blinks. what you can do is to use the other hand thats not touching the lense to pull your eyelid up and keep it there- dont let go. you may want to make sure your hand is near your eyeball. but dont touch your eyeball!! then. just put ur lense in but dont look at it!! use the other eye to look in the mirror and thatll be fine.

Relax, release your shoulders, and look up. Press gently until it is about 3/4 on your eyeball and then slowly look down. Close lid. It should be fine!
