A species would be condemned to "die" along with the universe?

I think any species that might be able to visit the Earth might also be able to pass through the membranes that make up our universe and perhaps pierce through others.

Space is so huge that it's tough to say how long it will take to make contact. But it's kinda like the lottery, you can't win if you don't play, even if the odds are ridiculous.

the universe is so large that it is too hard to say whether or not there is an other species. As for it going through layers of universes it would have to be made of a particle we have never seen before and still be able to retain an inteligent being. we may not even be able to see it with our own eyes.
