I have about a 90%/100% in World History 10 honors. Next year we're offered AP. I would like AP because of the weighted GPA benefit, but that's it. I heard AP has more notes and class debating.

I took both Ap U.S. and AP European history last year as a junior and i strongly recommend it. the tests are a breeze and require little if any studies. Whoever said euro wasnt interesting must not have be interested in history, bc personally i preferred it by far, much more interesting than repeating american facts weve learned since birth. It is much harder than US but if your up for a challenge.... Besides, colleges LOVE knowing your challenging yourself

there is no point in taking honors history unless your planning to take the AP test, and if thats the case, youll be better prepared taking AP.

Good luck

(I got 5's on both!)

AP can count as college credit. Take it while it is free. And it is certainly going to be a lot easier than an actual college class. It will give you more time in college to take a class you want to take instead of one you have to.

If you like being in class debates and lots of talking and DBQ's, do it. I took it and did just fine and I'm not one to talk a ton in class. Now if you can take AP European History, do not do it. Complete joke. Way too hard and not very interesting. All the Stuarts and Hapsburgs and all that nonsense is annoying.

I would take AP- it looks better on applications to college, plus in my high school AP courses meant college credits & the more credits you go into with college the better off you are =)

in case you reside in Washington that is risk-free to declare you're in. once you're from out of state, you're nonetheless in all likelihood in. huge checklist of extracurriculars and good grades (why is 4.07 undesirable???) good interest :)
