Hello, I am (sort of) having a problem with sex. I am 21 years old and on average it takes me about 4 and a half hours to "finish". I am having no complaints from my gf since she's able to have 2-3 orgasms everytime we have sex but this doesn't seem normal. I just wanted to ask people (both girls and guys) what they think is the normal time it takes. I've managed to finish in an hour and a half before but it requires alot of concentration and alot of imagination. In a way this is a good problem but in a way it's bad since I have to clear a huge portion of my day if I want to have sex, that or we both end up getting no sleep at all. If I use a condom I'll last beyond 6 hours. I thought it was normal all this time until my gf pointed out that she'd never had multiples or a guy who lasted that long. Am I abnormal?

Additionally, It's not that I've lost sensitivity or anything. The pleasure increases until I finally orgasm. It usually leaves me very very drained of energy and it's like we've both been running a 5 hour marathon. Does anyone have that problem?

I'm heterosexual and this has happened with girl's that I've been completely into so it's not my current gf and it's not that I'm not into women. The problem is not a lack of attraction/passion and I do not have Priapism because priapism presupposes that you CAN'T lose the erection, which I can if I simply stop having sex. Plus it refers to a long term erection with the absence of physical or psychological stimuli.

who's to say you are not normal? good on you in making your gf satisfied 2 or 3 times every time you have sex with her! but if you are practising tantric sex, you'll go on and on without ejaculating for days. cheers!

It sounds like something that could be a personal issue...such as that you're not turned on enough or SOMETHING. I'm sure you know how long it takes when you masturbate...if it's WAY faster, there's probably a problem with your attraction/comfort/relationship w/ your gf that you haven't realized or haven't faced. Are you positive you're attracted to only girls? You might be more attracted to guys....not a bad thing, just a suggestion. I've had bf's in my past who had this issue and looking back, this WAS the issue! (They came out later in life)
If everything is 'normal', are you using any desensitizing gels/creams/condoms,etc.? If not, you might want to go to a dr. and get checked out for normal blood flow/nerve function. There possibly could be something wrong.
I've honestly never had ANY guy of ANY age be able to go that long, ESPECIALLY that young! Usually you'd be lucky to last 10 minutes!

Since the Viagra commercials say that if you have Priapus which is an erection of 4 hours or more, it seems you have this medical condition. Anything that has been deemed a medical condition is obviously not average.

It is abnormal. It is referred to as "retarded ejaculation." It is a psychological problem. It is treated by sessions with a sex therapist. Check with a doctor, or better yet, with a psychologist or psychiatrist and ask for 2 or 3 names of legitimate sex therapists. Check them out. Beware of anyone without good professional training who is licensed.

yes, this is fairly abnormal. I would recommend several things; try different herbs to see if they help you finish the job quicker...
ginko biloba enhances blood flow to the extremeties; and ginseng enhances sex drive. Also, yohimbe increases testosterone levels, which may improve overall performance.
