Who do you know gives the best holiday gifts?

My sister in law gives the best presents. Every year, she goes through my MIL's attic and basement to find old photos (there are tons of them). Then, she picks out one for each of us, gets it blown up (or fixed first and then enlarged) and gives it in a nice frame. I have bunches of these photos in my house, so I can get a good feel for what my husband's family was like before I met him. He can remember wonderful times he's forgotten, and the kids get a chance to see people they hear about.

My grandmother (Nan) wins. Hands down.
For christmas two years ago she gave her 8 granddaughters each a binder filled with stories, family recepies (with little stories attached) and poetry she had written over the last few years. we had no idea this was in the making, so were sooooo thrilled. All typed by her- printed and protected, in a binder. (i spent most of christmas day reading and crying....) ALSO that same year, she gave each of us one of her rings with a written note about it's signifigance.
A few years ago I got a favorite quilt that was my great grandmothers and a cool copper teapot that I loved from Nans house.
Last year all 8 grandchildren got scrapbooks of our lives from birth to marriage. She worked on them for over a year. Oh yeah! She also makes a family canendar on her computer every year with everyone's face on their birthday in the whole family, and on each month uses seasonal pictures she's taken herself. She continues to give us the occassional writing to add to our binders, which we love to get. The books are a legacy in the making. She's the best. Honest.

I think my mom gives the best gifts, because she knows me the most. I love other peoples gifts but my moms are more sentimental then others.
