Dear lady, I started getting grey hairs when I was 14! It is mainly genetic, so if it's bothering you, there are some pretty awesome colours and highlights now that are great at covering grey. I used to have jet black hair. I'm now in my 40s and salt-and-pepper, and I like it that way. Many people I know get grey in their 30s. Especially if they have kids.

I think it can be a combination of things. If you are very stressed then that could be the reason but if that is not the case, may be heredity. I am 29 and I am salt and pepper. I saw my first gray hair when I was 16. My dad was completely gray by the time he was 35. My 10 year old son has gray hair. I saw his first gray hair when he was 3.

Low Thyroid is one of the most common causes for premature grey hair. If you ever take Thyroid replacement medication ask your doctor why Synthroid would be better than Levoxyl. Your doctor will probably do blood test's on you to see if you need this type of treatment.

Having a concussion can cause grey and/ or white hair. That's what happened to one of my teachers. He was playing football and he had a concussion. He started getting grey hair when he was 20.

Usually it's just genetics and/or stress. Your hair genes come from your mother's father... what was his hair like at age 35? If it wasn't starting to grey, you might want to analyze the stressors in your life and do what you can to calm them.

it can have no cause at all, or be heredity. I went gray at 33 but had a grandmother who went gray in her 20's. Also, she and I are the only persons in the family to be pale and have blue eyes. Trust me....my hair dresser is more important to me than my doctor.

your family may have a history of getting it early probably, I actually noticed white strands on the back of my friend's hair when he was only 17...so it must be a genetic thing.

I had premature hair and my aunt and my grandmother had it , so it is something you can inherit.
