I don't want to do high fashion or anything like that... definitely no nudity or sexually suggestive poses. I just want to model for a clothing designer or store... like Abercrombie or American Eagle... How would I get started?

You still need to be tall 5'10" and slim.....the clothes must still hang on you like the runway models. Otherwise you can do modeling for local store ads, but still tall is important. My friend Mother is 5'9" and modeled for Lord & Taylor locally in my hometown of Houston for modest money.

You want a couple of photos to create a portfolio. Best to be in eclectic today's garments when you wish to enchantment to the consignment keep. Have a buddy take a few exciting snap shots: on a seashore within the wind, on a few exciting rock formations, status on a ship - stuff like that wherein you're highlighting one other appear in each and every image. Maybe a antique fancy get dressed, a preppy appear, an overly unfashionable combine/fit appear. It is great when you have a respectable do the snap shots. If you reside close a school campus, you would wish to inquire if there's a images magnificence - you perhaps capable to get unfastened photographs performed that method. Some photographers which might be constructing their portfolio will put it on the market for units on Craigs List, however you have to be incredibly cautious of that & ensure you are taking an grownup with you, simply to ensure it's official. Then you are taking your virtual snap shots & photoshop within the consignment keep identify/brand stuff like that & take it into them. Let them realize that you're seeking to holiday into modeling and wonder whether they might be all for making use of your image at no cost.

Try an employment agency that specializes in the fashion industry. It’s our most popular employment category based on the total number of clicks we get, and we’ve had some positive feedback from people that have used them.
Go to http://www.buddyandoscars.com/Careers_Employment.htm and click on the ‘Fashion and Entertainment’ link. Good Luck.
