It depends on how big the piece is to be framed. I've had many pieces framed, including watercolors and needlework. Needlework is a bit more expensive because they have to stretch it. Usually it runs from between $75.00-$120.00 depending on the size, expense of the frame and the amount of matting. However, there are ways to cut the cost. We have a Michael's arts and craft store near us and they commonly offer 50% off coupons on all framing. Just make that it covers the entire framing order. Sometimes they put a clause on it that the 50% only on the cost of the frame itself.

An additional way to save money is to contact an Art College, if you have one in your area. There may be art students available who are very good at framing and matting and would charge you a fraction of the price of a professional framer. Of course, you'd have to check their work but the effort might be worth your time.

Hope this helps!

It depends on the size, type/style of framing, whether you use matting, etc.

I would venture to say - with simple framing, small with no matting - may start at about $50.00.
