They do large reservations and can accomedate 300 or so.
They have two Chinese Food Bars, A Desert Bar, A Salads Bar, Sushi Bar, Roast and Meat Bar, etc. etc. etc.
I think the food is okay. (I live nearby so I get a little sick of it, eating it once a week).
The asians of SF seem to love it, they flock in hordes on the weekends

The best one would be the Empress of China in San Francisco. It is known as the Chinese restaurant frequented by celebrities, politicians and VIP's. They handle wedding parties and baby showers for up to several hundred guests.

Koi Palace - http://www.koipalace.com/
It's one of the best chinese restaurants in the bay area. The Dim Sum is one of the best. I have heard of people driving up from L.A. for it. It also has fresh seafood which is really important for chinese cuisine.
Call them up for preset menus per table. Each table sits about 10-12 people. Since you have big party, you can always negociate discounts for banquets.

In Chinatown, R&G or the Far East Cafe. Both do excellent banquets. Empress of China is a little more touristy, but still good, and has really nice private banquet rooms.

I agree with Lulu's suggestion of the koi palace. The food is fresh, authentic, and super good. When I went a year ago, I saw Yao Ming and his parents there! No joke...(his parents are huge!)
