Keep Happy Holidays for the commercialized version of the season and Happy Christ Day or Christmas to worship the birth of Christ. If children's belief in Jesus was as strong as their belief in Santa Claus they would grow up to be better people and the world would be a better place.

Christmas is really a pagan holiday in it's origins, so Jesus Day wouldn't be a good name for it. It was originally a day to celebrate the Winter Solstice in the Roman Era, early Christians moved their observance of Christ's birthday to coincide with that holiday.
Pay attention in class next time.

You don't hear of people other than Christ named Christ, but there are a lot people named Jesus. We wouldn't want them have two days to celebrate, would we?

No - tradition and all that. Kinda like the whole Christ thing in Christmas left alone and I think so would he.

either way it refers to CHRIST so name it as you will....but don't try to make people call it Jesus day (it might offend them) but the name is not important, the point of the day is the main point! â¥
p.s. Xmas is better for all religions.
