the computer was made in 2003, it is a Gateway 510 series, and I have an Nvidia 5200 FX graphics card.

You may just want to run WinAudit (search for it, it's free!!!). Like Belarc Advisor, it will search your computer for everything, tell you what slots you have and what's free. But if you don't want to download anything...and assuming you use Windows: 1) Bring up Device Manager: (*) Right-click My Computer, click "Manage" from the pop-up, and select Device Manager on the left-hand side ---OR--- (*) Right-click My Computer, click Properties, click on the Hardware tab, then click "Device Manager" button 2) From the menu bar at the top, click View, then "Resources by Connection" 3) Expand either "Input/Output" section or "Memory" section. 4) Look in the lists for "PCI Bus", etc. This won't help you if you need to know how many slots you have.

Small proggy only 406k on the motherboard tab it will have the model number for your board, google that.
