how do i buy non-conflict diamonds?

I know about the kimberly process, but how do I know for sure that I'm not buying "blood diamonds" or "conflict diamonds"?

I'm wondering how people are even able to tell whether they are actually FAKE or not! There are SO many artificially created diamonds now, they look so good and so perfect, they pass as real diamonds and they are flooding the markets.
You CAN'T tell whether your getting a blood diamond, bottom line.
and I'm afraid you can't tell much if you are getting a fake either.
Make sure if you buy a diamond, it has at least one tiny carbon mark in it, that's how you'll know for sure it's real at least.

Yes, the others are right. You can't. If you would like to make a difference, donate the money to charity that you plan to spend on diamonds. After all, you don't actually need diamonds do you?

I hate do-gooder trends like this. You're probably still sleeping on the linens made in China by a five year old. Don't buy a diamond at all. That's the best way to ensure it. There is no way to tell. I suppose you might go through Russell Simmons, who is promoting his "nonconflict diamonds," which he sells through his Simmons Jewelry Co.

By not buying them at all. Aeven with the markings, they could have eventually been smuggled.
