I have a 30g video ipod purchased 2 weeks ago and I'm having trouble adding a song to it. It is actually a recording of a concert that is 55 minutes long in .wav format. I can play it on my computer and in itunes but it will not play on my iPod. It is listed on my ipod but when I try to play it, the ipod skips to the next song on my list. What am I doing wrong and how can I get my ipod to play this track? It added to my library just fine and the software is up to date. Please help!

Is that the only way to fix it?

I tried to use the conversion tip and it failed because "it uses an unrecognized codec". I have no idea what I'm doing wrong!

You can burn the song to a CD in the current format and then save it back to your computer from the disk and that way you can get it in mp3 format without downloading anything.

You may have to right click on the song and there should be an option to "Convert to AAC".

During the conversion process, you should see an yellowish orange circle in your source list with a white wavy line going thru it.That means the song is converting.

2 copies will show. One in the original WAV format and one in the AAC format. Right click on the songs and make sure the one you want to use on your iPod is AAC format. You should delete the one in WAV format and put the AAC version on your iPod instead.

Hope this helps.

Very possilble; extremely elementary. brush aside the different solutions. each and every iPod and iPone has an some ideas that are displayed as quickly because it seems that on your iTunes. There are 3 or 4 examine boxes in iTunes searching on what type of iPod your have, one in each and every of theses examine boxes says "MANUALLY deal with music." examine that. Having that checked means that your iPod gained't immediately sync itself including your library anymore, and think ofyou've got to go with songs, video clips, or playlist and DRAG them onto your iPod interior the iTunes window. That being suggested, you could plug your iPod into any pc and only click and drag the songs on that pc for your iPod, without stressful about the media already on your iPod being bumped off. wish that permits.
