Does anyone know of any stores that would carry new ones and their price point?
All I can find is used at EB Games for $140.

I don't know for sure about buying them new; I can tell you that they don't seem to last very long before they stop functioning and apparently to have it repaired it has to be sent to Texas (at your expense) I'm going to buy Playstation next time.
