Because they are incapable of critical thinking.
They chose to back GW Bush at some point in time, and they will only accept information that supports that decision.
Any information they are presented with that goes against their positive view of Bush's policies is rejected, or they confabulate a situation that allows them to view the flaw as a virtue.

Despite the impossibility of even defining a 'win' in Iraq anymore, they want to keep fighting there until we win.(last man standing?)

Despite the massive government debt that Bush is generating, they believe that because Bush cut taxes, he cut spending.

They would rather believe that the victims of Katrina were 'bad' people than accept that the federal government (specifically at the Bush cabinet level) fell down in it's obligation to provide rescue to that disaster.

i does not approve if Geo W Bush or bill Clinton or Abe Lincoln did it. this is not the call or social gathering of the President, this is the action of the Congress on his stated legislations. Congress, with their many heads for decision, is meant to save the President from taking the country into bothered waters. so a techniques, the Congress has failed and the presidents plans are sinking.

That is beyond me!
I believe, even Bush Senior does not approve of Junior's policies.
GWB is ignorant of the train wreck that is ahead. He lives in his own little world, and cares little of what goes on outside that realm.

Because they believe everything they see on Fox News, everything they hear from Hannity and Limbaugh, and everything that comes out of the Bush's mouth. They have bought into all of the war propaganda and do not think for themselves. Their opinions and views told to them, and now they believe it.

I have respect for GW Bush because he ran a campaign promising that he will make major tax cuts. So what did he do? He came into office and fairly quickly did exactly that. And it needed to be done very badly. The US federal government is badly oversized and needs very badly to be trimmed down.

They are people who do not reside in the reality-based community. They approach their politics like their religion--it's all faith-based. So any evidence or reasoning has no impact on them at all. Just makes them throw up even more resistance and denial.

Because they have understanding and are not the people who will blame their goverment for every bad thing that happens.they are the people who understand that if a guy watches 2,800 of his people die he does not want to see it happen by a nuke and so unreasonably invaded Iraq. They are the people who do not fear terrorists and will blame terrorists instead of some rich white guys in suites.they are the people who understand that holding up signs and protesting will not change Bush's mind. They understand that without freedom of speech all liberals would be dead right now.
