WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE EVERRR!!!!
I was buying a bunch of clothes for work and had one of those store discount cards. The cashier, looked at me like I was an idoit when she scanned my card and was like
'This card expires in 2010'
I look at my watch, yes thats right its 2006.
Me: Okay.
Her:Who set this up for you??
Me: I dont know
Her: Well its wrong. These cards are suppose to expire only after a year.
Me: This is my problem?
Her: Well I cant process it.
Me: Forget the card. How much does it come to
Her: Well we have to fix the problem.
**This is when like two other cashiers come all dumbfounded.**
Other Cashier: ARE YOU SURE YOU BROUGHT THIS FROM ONE OF OUR STORE
Me: Um it does have your store logo and its the only one in the city so yes. FORGET THE CARD HOW MUCH IT IS?
About 20 mins later
Them: We fix the problem. Your card will expire one year from today.
Me: Great.
So my bill comes to 217.00 and I hand the girl 220 cash and I recieve $23.00 in change.
Me: I gave you 220.00 you gave me too much change
Girl: **rolls eyes** NO you gave me 240!!!! I know for a fact you gave me 240
**Now I know I only gave her 220.00 because I only have 240.00 in my wallet and there was still a 20 in my wallet**
Me: Okay, thanks for the 20.00
Girl: ***Dumbfounded look again***Oh well I can do an audit on my till to find out
Me: No, thats Okay Have a nice day

So sorry to hear about your experiences with you Payees.
In my opinion, Customer Service is something that cannot be taught because it is innate.
You can tell who is just there to collect a check!
Here's a story for you:
I called my credit card company to inform them that I just submitted a payment online. I always like to pay my bills early instead of waiting until the due date.
I feel if I have the money in my account why wait.....
I asked the rep a question regarding my balance and he told me that in the past six months I paid my bill too early and I should consider paying them a bit later.
I told him that I should be able to pay my bill whenever I choose as long as I pay it by the due date. He went on babbling for a few moments about how long it takes for the payment to post to my account.
I simply stopped him mid sentence and said...."Sir, do you see why I like to pay ahead of time....since you said it takes a while for the monies to post to my account at least I am paying you on time!"
He stopped and there was a long and awkward silence and then he said..."You know you are right....so sorry about that I must have been thinking of another customer's situation."
I believe he is so used to telling people the same thing over and over again about paying too late he neglected to "listen" to what I was saying. He then told me to "continue as I normally do."
If you do what you are supposed to do you can simply ignore them if they give you a hard time. I am sure they feel the pressure from others especially the customers who don't pay at all.
I hope this story has calmed you down.
God Bless....

Not to be rude but how can someone make "heres my money take it" less easy? did you not know where to send it cause everyone on the planet should be willing to take money if offered to them if not I really wanna know the places your dealing with.
I've had afew returns that didn't go so well mostly around the holidays especially last year got some gift clothes that weren't my size and when I went to take them to exchange the store didn't have my size and the woman said she didn't know when they would be in stock she said she could give me a refund for the amount and I should check back in 2-3 weeks. well she took the clothes went to the register did the refund thing and when I asked for the slip of paper to show the refund she told me it would be on "my" credit card. it was a gift I didn't buy it with my credit card I told her she said well we don't do cash refunds and started to move on to the next customer I was ticked no clothes and no store credit. I went to the manager and he said I should have read the sales slip it says NO REFUNDS went to a different store the same day with the same issue wanted to exchange some clothes that didn't fit only this time the woman asked me to pick out a gift card I picked one out in the display she did afew bells an whistles with the register and handed me a gift card worth the amount of the exchanged clothes that made me so happy. I went back to the problem store that was in the same mall and got ahold of the manager that was rude and told him out loud infront of many shoppers his store was the worst in the area and from now on I'd be doing all my shopping at the friendly store then I screamed ewww a RAT and ran 2 weeks later recieved a letter of apology from the district manager from the bad store and a gift card worth the full amount of my intended exchange

Talking about customer service...how about customers? I work for a large chain. I had a customer approach my register with THREE shopping carts full of items. She threw the items on to the belt piling things everywhere (this makes it really hard to bag and ring when things are falling all over the place, but no big deal) I managed to get all her items rung up, bagged and put into empty carts fairly quickly. Her total was around $500. Fairly low for so much stuff. "OH, oh no, I did not spend that much...take this off...take this off ...take this off. By the time I got done "taking this off" she had gone from 3 carts to one. From $500 to $100...I had to get a manager to approve all the "take offs" or voids as we call them she had tied me up for 45 minutes, managed to piss off other customers, my manager, and myself. She then paid with cash from her welfare card...to add insult to injury. My tax dollars hard at work! All the while treating me like it was my fault her bill was so high!! And then I was late getting home!!
Time and time again I see people come to the registers with a limited amount of money and tons of items that they can't afford. I don't understand it...why can't people check prices and have an idea of how much they have BEFORE they put it in their carts and go to the cashier???

One time I refused to give a refund to a lady who wanted to return a goldfish. The fish was in a very small round glass tank. her reason for the return was "fish shi_ too much" and made the tank cloudy.
The regional manager made me take the refund to her home and apologize.
