Its not electronic but I have always liked the Rubiks cube. About 8 bucks at Target.

First, try regular Sudoku rather than electronic. The Rubik's Cube answer was a really good one! Go to a bookstore and in the puzzles & games section, look for brainteaser books. MENSA publishes them quite often.

dough brain simulation games will prevent an aneurysm .. but research has been done to suggest the keeping a brain mentally active with such puzzles will prolong forms of dementia
( i can't quote any resources, but i work in media, and seem to remember, reading a news story about that. )
i love sudoku also
other games i would suggest
minesweeper
tetris ( and tetris type games like diamond mine etc )

I've seen an electronic Kakuro -- Kakuro is somewhat similar to sudoku but there you have rows and columns that have to add to a certain number, as in Sudoku no number can be repeated.
I also own an electronic Yahtzee, although that game is dominated by luck, you do have to do "some" thinking to make the laws of probability work in your favor.

I kind of like Bookworm on yahoo games. I made archivist once.
You can play the free web game, or buy the deluxe version for $25. It's fun and almost as addictive as Yahoo Answers.

rubiks cubes, metal or cast iron brain teasers (you can find them cheap on eBay, and some even come with pretty stands, so you can display them).
