Ok well I've got a review sheet and my teacher hasn't put up the answers on her website yet...Anyways, I'm hoping someone can help. Here are the question(s):

6 Amino acids would require a minimum of __________ codons and __________ DNA bases for coding.

Another one is:
The Ribosome begins "reading" mRNA from the _________ end, and where the __________ codon is first encountered.

If anyone can help! PLEASE! IN anyway!

Thanks in advanced,

Each amino acid gets it's own codon, so 6 codons and each codon has three bases. 6x3=18 bases.
Ribosomes read from the 5' end. They slide along until they reach the AUG codon where they begin transcription.

Those are the simplest answers which I hope she's looking for. It's actually more complicated than that.
