OK, by home remedies, do you mean OTC medicines or do you mean stuff you have in your kitchen? 'Cause my son and I swear by Excedrin Migraine that you get over the counter.

My son also says that if he pinches the webbing between thumb and forefinger, it helps his migraines. He also pushes on the part of his forehead right between his eyebrows.

Beth, are you having menstrual migraines - occuring at a specific point during your cycle every month? Menstrual migraines are hormone related, and can be remedied by balancing your hormones.

Youre not going to like this (mum doesn't like it either) but when you feel the onset of a migraine, masturbation works wonders. The idea is to send the blood to another area of the body as quickly as possible.

As soon as you feel one coming on, chug a bottle of Gator Aide. The electrolytes or whatever help it subside. My mom gets them and it hlps her. The other is place your index finger over the vein that's popping out and throbbing on the side of your temple. Press down and count to 10. Then do the other side. That should stop the flow enough to give the pain time to subside. Quiet dark room and soft music helps too.

I self medicate with caffiene. I have also tried a prescription called Midrin and that works very well for my headaches.

Anything with caffeine usually works pretty good for me.
