Awww, I remember my daughter's first Christmas. She was around the same age. I would go with soft toys, stuffed animals, and anything educational for her age. By daughter loves the Baby Einstein collection, they teach colors, shapes, first words, etc and have a wide range of DVDs for her age up to 36 months. There is a Leap Frog called Lilly that sings the alphabet, my daughter loved this. Go ahead and start her a book collection! I did mine through Scholastic Baby Disney.
Good luck and take lots of sparkling pictures!

My daughter is 9 months old.. and I bought her 2 age-appropriate toys... a photo album, 3 or 4 clothing outfits, and I filled her stocking with little things, like bath toys and more baby shampoos and lotions... things like that.... For a four month old I would probably do the same.... and besides.. this christmas is mainly for the parents anyway ... not the baby.. MERRY CHRISTMAS

Get her a toy that plays music and has lights for her to look at. Babies love that kind of stuff at this age and as they get older. A keepsake idea is to get her a Hallmark first Christmas ornament. My sister-in-law did this for all of my kids, and they love to see their ornaments every year when we put up the tree. It makes them feel special because each one is different for the year they were born in.

Not much, enjoy it while it lasts, they won't remember and you are going to have a life time of gifts they will remember. Get a few small things, but don't go ever board. A few baby toys, books.

i got a great baby shower gift. she got it from qvc. it's a book collection that has the cd's with it so if you don't have time to read, you can at least put on the cd or if you get tired of reading the same story over and over. at this age, they just need the repitive sounds. my son is almost 3 months and we got him an exersaucer and the boppy activity gym. i know he doesn't need it all but he is transitioning to an age where they like toys; well at least the stimulation.

Give your baby the love and songs of Christmas. Tell her the story of Christmas.

Try to get him/her toys that will stimulate her senses. Or a floor mat she can lay on her tummy and play on. Clothes are great too. Get some cardboard books and start reading to him/her, it will make him/her smarter! Hope I helped
