I am 17, a senior in high school. I shave every day, but my hair is not extremely thick or crowded around my face. Are electric shavers more for people that grow thick hair and will grow a beard in a day or two? Should I stick to a simple manual shaver?

SUFJAN,
I OWN BOTH AN ELECTRIC SHAVER AND A STANDARD RAZOR.THE RAZOR GIVES A FASTER SHAVE AND LESS HAIR ARE MISSED. MY ELECTRIC IS MORE CONVENIENT (NO CREAM OR WATER TO WORRY ABOUT).NEITHER TYPE OF SHAVER IS FOR ANY PARTICULAR PEOPLE W/THICK BEARS OR NOT. IT'S A MATTER OF TASTE.

I started shaving at 15 and electrics never worked and still don't. They just rub your face raw and shave like crap. Stick to blades.

No, you don't need to upgrade just yet, plenty of time for that in the future.
