If you saw me, (i play sports alot, in good condition, no black hair or anything) then you would not think at all that i listen to Death Metal. People just assume that those people are weird because they hate that music and don't understand how much talent there is in Death Metal. I don't mind people at all that listen to that, and people critisize me for listening to it. So, if you saw me, you would not think that i listen to death metal and idk if you would hate me or not, but why does it matter what people listen to? Is it really that bad, does it matter that someone likes a different style than you??

I think there is nothing wrong with people who listen to metal music. The metal music is the purest music in the world, this metal music is the music that never tells you lie in their lyrics or their music. Especially death metal, this music is really expressed what in the heart and mind of their musician. They never lie about it, they tell us what they see, what they feel, what they thought and what they do through their amazing music and lyrics. But people sometimes do not respect this kind of music or the one who love this music, cause what they see, and what they heard are the cover only, they never see or heard what is inside in this music or the man who listen to it. People always heard and saw the bad things about this music and the people who love this music, drugs - drinks - some bad attitude etc. So then people always critisize this music a lot.
I do respect all the kind of musics, but metal music is the best for me.
Hail to you to love metal, keep the steel in your heart, and be different than anyone else, cause we are the metalhead.

In order to "fit in", people think you should conform to their ways. The music I listen to isn't quite heavy metal, but it's pretty close. People think it's strange when they find out what kind of stuff I listen to. I don't think it's bad, but some people do. They think that everyone who listens to that kind of music is a devil worshiper, or something like that. People don't like what they don't understand, and they think it's evil. If you've ever been to a rock concert, more than likely, there was some religious group, standing outside, protesting. They don't understand rock n roll, so it's evil. That's the same way people who don't listen to your kind of music feel. Alot of people feel that if you don't do the same thing they do, then you are wrong. Alot of people are idiots.

Listen to what makes you feel good and to heck with what other people think. I own 3000 compact discs and listen to all kinds of music from rap to classical....country and rock. Even heavy metal and hard rock. To heck with what people think.

People can be idiots. Pure and simple. I don't look like I like thrash Metal, but no one makes assumptions about me.

I think you answered your own question. Don't judge a book by its cover....unless it has George Bush on it.
