When you have expectation of doing something and believe and expect you can achieve your goals, can we say you have self-expectation? Or, is there any other words can represent this meaning?

It could be delusion, if the expectation was inhuman. Like surviving a 500 foot fall? Definitely delusional.

However, if it's believing you can pull straight A's or get the job or the girl or whatever you're aiming for, then it's confidence. I think you're going for confidence and self-esteem, there.
