ask the teller at the bank the next time you make a deposit

I was a bank teller for almost a year. It is a very stressful job. You are accountable for at least $10,000 at all times (at least at my branch) and sometimes the whole vault. That alone will give you wrinkles. Often, you deal with very upset customers who are peeved at something the bank did and take it out on you. Referrals are very important to banks now...so be prepared to sell, sell, sell. For what they paid me (only $8.00 an hour) it was NOT worth it. Of course, I needed a job at the time. It is stressful and if you work at a bank that has in-store branches, be prepared to work long hours and weekends.

It is at times..you have to be careful of following the regulations and when counting money. Other than that it's not that hard/bad.
