I want to get my boss something, but not my assistant boss...is that wrong? WE just don't get along.
Any ideas for cheap gifts I can get these people that work so hard with me...we take care of other peoples children all day long in a very nice day care facility.
I would really appreciate anyones help

I am planning on doing up little treat bags with nice assorted chocolates from Purdy's Chocolates and a card. I plan on giving one to EVERYONE, even one I don't like much. Why would you want to hurt someones feelings at Christmas?
How would you feel if everyone but you got a little gift?

Well, it's kind of a sticky situation when you buy gifts for everyone but your assistant boss. If you don't get along now, the situation could be much worse by leaving him or her out. You didn't mention whether your boss was male or female, but an appropriate gift for either would be a gift certificate to a nice restaurant, or to a department store. Another suggestion might be tickets for a current play, opera or musical. As for the ten co-workers, maybe one big gift they all can share, like a box of candy or one of those deli trays with cheese, sausage, crackers, jellies, etc., or a big basket of assorted fruits. You can include the assistant boss in the communal gift. I don't advise leaving that person out, even though you don't get along. Maybe Christmas is the time of year when you put all disagreements aside. You'll feel better if you do. Don't expect this person to reciprocate, however. Gift certificates to any walmart or borders would be nice, if you don't get along with your assistant boss a card wishing him/her happy Holidays is appreciate. A nice bottle of wine is always good you can get a nice wine for 10-15 dollars. An inexpensive gift,.
Poinsettia are nice plants and theya re sometimes 3 for 10.00.

Well you could hit the $1 stores and $1 bins at stores like Target and Wal-mart to get everyone a similar gift. Or even get some of those gift sets that are at Wal-mart/Target and so on. You could even get everyone a holiday mug and put a cocoa or tea bag or candy in it for everyone. If you want to get personal gifts for everyone you should get off of yahoo answers and start shopping now everyone is buying things off the shelf.

Do not get your boss anything, that would be kinda awkward. Would make your boss think you want a raise or something. Get your coworkers gift certificates like to the movies or bookstore.

Why do you HAVE to buy for people you WORK with?? You don't have to buy for those people. I think you're worrying too much. I highly doubt they're worrying about what to buy for you. I've never known any place where everyone buys for all of their co-workers, bosses,etc. I've never bought my boss a gift, even in a small hair salon where we were all close...we all had kids and family to buy for and money is too tight. We would never expect anyone to buy us anything!

well...i don't know how much you are looking to spend. My daughter is taking presents to all her preschool teachers and helpers ..we got nice mugs (not expensive but cute) and put in a hot chocolate package and a package of mini marshmellows and a candy cane to stir it all..along with a christmas note...its not expensive but is a nice gesture and very holidayish. For you boss...hmmm...well maybe a gift basket full of coffee's, teas and treats ....ORR...a gift certificate or something...
