I was laying on the couch and the phone rang but I couldn't move it felt as if someone was sitting on me. after the phone quit ringing I was able to get up. This all happened in a house we use to rent and I know something evil was in there. too many different people with different but similar stories about the place. first of all it was made out of old railroad cars (it looked like a normal house) it was built over an old junk yard after the years car frames were coming up out of the ground. and I kid you not you could not walk in the back yard because of the snakes I mean when you were on a riding lawn mower all you would do is hit snakes and more snakes. the last night we were there i was painting the back bedroom( did this because we were renting it from a family member and that wa part of the deal) well I took the picture of Jesus of the wall and the angel wallplate so I could paint, this man kept on talking to me It was like a mumble i yelled at my husband what do you want? I am busy in here no answer I went down the hall and my husband was sound asleep. well I closed that door and never finished the painting. another thing that happened there was I had a bill collecter one of those the sleeve things that hang on the wall well it was crammed full and if it was knocked off letters would have been scattered everywhere but we got up in the morning and the letters were all lines up in neat little piles all down the hall.

this isn't "weird" exactly but the scariest thing that ever happened to me was my car broke down on a very lonely stretch of road in the middle of the night, no cell phone, and it was pitch black, no moon or anything, and only 2 trucks passed in hours and would not stop, so I layed down in the back to try and sleep thinking that more traffic would come in the morning and I was woken up by someone trying to open the car door..... and there was no cars around. I was scared to death and I yelled "get away from the car, I have a gun" and I could barely see a shadow get on a bicycle and go down the road....... I think I might have scared him as much as he scared me, he probably thought it was an abandoned car on the side of the road.

When I was 13 years old I awoke one night to an immense pain all across my chest.I was paralyzed for what seemed like forever. It was like this huge weight on my chest and I couldnt move at all.I tried to squirm around to no avail. After a few minutes I was fine.I had just been to my great aunts funeral in N.Y.C. two days earlier. We were pretty close and she was the only thing close to a grandparent that I had ever had.My father knew this psychic and he told me she was saying goodbye to me.I know it sounds freaky and dumb but I am now 42 and never have I had that kind of experience again. And I have had others close to me die.

I had this lucid dream( a dream where you know you are dreaming and it seems more real than reality) once where I was dead and couldn't wake myself up; so in my dream, I truly thought I dead. It was the scariest thing that I have ever experienced. I remember waking up and thanking God that it was just a dream. I can also remember laying there, terrified that I was dead, and my body wouldn't wake up for anything! Once I woke up, I immediately turned on the light and couldn't get back to sleep for 45 mins to an hour for the fear of going right back into the dream.

When I was 4 years old I would hear a voice at night. I was wide awake and the voice would call my name. The voice sounded like two people whispering, but I got the sense that it was several voices in one. I was bold enough to remain motionless for a few minutes, but the voice would continue to call my name and sometimes it would say, "come outside and play with us." Understand that I was a small child so I would get up and run like hell into my parents bedroom and scream my @ss off! This persisted for several days. My father got to the point that he wasn't going to put up with my antics so he began punishing me after several episodes. The voices started coming more frequently and became a bit more demanding so I responded by simply going into my parents room and standing at the foot of their bed, silently. Sometimes my mother or father would wake up and see me standing there and they would scream because I startled them and of course I would scream because they startled me. Anyway, the last episode was so intense that my mother suspected something was wrong. She contacted a friend of hers who put oil on the doorframes and conducted some sort of exorcism (I was not possessed) in our home. She placed a bible under my pillow and I never had trouble again. That was 27 years ago. The event has always left a mark on me and I never doubt a child who says, "there is something in my room." It is a d@mn scary thing for a 4 yr old child to have audible encounters with the unknown and a 4 yr old cannot always articulate what is actual to his/her parents.

The scariest thing....that would have to be when I was walking through my house and out of the corner of my eye I saw a man in the corner of the hallway. When I looked directly at him he was no longer there...

I also had this experience with my mother....she was in her bedroom and I was in the kitchen cooking something on the stove. I could've sworn I saw her turn off her light and begin her descent down the hall and make her way to the living room. So I asked her a question. And when she didn't answer I myself walked into the living room and I saw that she wasn't there. So I went back to the stove to my food, trying to figure out an explanation for the strange occurence. Then I actually did see her turn off her bedroom light and walk down the hallway. And just to make sure it was her I grabbed hold of her shoulder and asked her that very same question. She looked at me like she was worried and so I told her what I had seen, that it was her and that there was no translucency at all. And when I finished telling her what I had to say she looked at me all wide-eyed, even more worried than she had been before. I tried to shake the experience off, but things like that have happened to me all too often for it to be coincidence.

There was a dream I had that was also quite...for lack of better terms, scary. I had a dream that a man took hold of my shoulders, his grip and his touch as cold as iron, and he slammed me against the wall and proceeded to rape me. Everything in this dream felt real and when I awoke I had bruises on my arms, in the shapes of his hands, and bruises on my thighs and my back looked like it had actually been ground upon a brick wall, just like in the dream. That was my most horrific experience. And many do not believe me when I tell them this. So I guess it is for you to decide whether it is truth or not. But I know what I saw, and what I felt.

nothing weird, just stupid.
I was on my way to work, driving down highway 401 (in Canada). I had to take the 400 exit (a major one).

I fell asleep at the wheel.

I woke up just seconds before I would have hit the median between the major highways.....
to this day, I am positive that an Angel woke me up and brought me to my senses just in time.
I thank and praise the Lord for that.

Er, supernaturally, I was outside on the patio and I heard a dog growl in my ear. At the time, there was no dog around.
Mundanely, when my brakes went out on my car. I was sixteen, it was Saturday and the lunch rush was on. If I hadn't have pulled of the road when I did, I'd be dead right now.

It wasn't any kind of ghostly thing but I once got my hair caught in a machine at work. The only way to free myself was to jerk my head back really hard. In doing this, I lost a lot of hair. I felt like the machine was pulling me into it. I thought I was going to die.
