Look, being Indian is a good thing. Keep in mind that the Indians are the REAL Americans. This country used to be theirs. If anything, his family should have a problem with YOU being from a different culture.
Marriage is between two people. NOT the families of those two. They have no say in who you marry, so if that's what you both feel is right, then go for it.

You are 22 and you know the answer as well as anyone else. It is your decision and only yours. You can appreciate the concern your family has, but staying or going is your choice. He may be perfect and respect you at every turn. You might think that this is love at this time---you can only think about how this will work out and BE HONEST. If he or anone else doesn't share your long range goals, then you need to settle it for yourself. It always looks good now and everything seems great---but time will tell. Good luck and do the RIGHT thing for your sake.

Do as you wish your an adult,, who cares what your family thinks .. But know this.. If they don't like him there is usually a reason.. Maybe they see something that you don't because your blinded with infatuation or love.. Unless they are just racist. If that's the case,,, and your not. Then you know what you have to do. move away from them.. They will never accept him. If its something else then maybe you should think about what your doing. your still young . I know at your age you know everything untill you realize you don't.. Then its too late.. I know I been there
He should never put you in the position to choose between him and your family.. nor should your family. Nor should either be able too... your all growed up now .
