1) Instant access to relatives in case of a family emergency
2) Can be used to help students plan their homework and extracurricular activities
3) Encourages students to learn to use technology that professionals use
Cons
1) Distraction to the class when they go off
2) Distraction to individual students (texts, calls, etc)
3) Can become social symbols and lead to bullying of those kids who do not have them

Cell phones should not be allowed in high schools because:
They disrupt a learning environment

They disrupt the class, they would distract kids from learning, and their could be a threat of cell phone bombs?

yes -
1. many highschoolers need emergency contact with their parents when out of home, so essential
2. they are all teenagers and are inclined to talk on the phone naturally, and banning them from it may cause them psychological problems -not become psycho! producing psychological problems!!!-
3. essential for having ability to store other phone addresses, id, etc..
